Form of Government: A constitutional monarchy, governed by the Constitution of New England. Free and fair elections are held every four years. Also a unitary state.

Geology: Part of the Australian continent, which in turn sits on the Indo-Australian Plate. New England sits on the Great Dividing Range between the Tasman Sea and the Murray-Darling River basin.
Climate: Two distinctive climate zones dominate the country. The coastal and far western regions are broadly sub-tropical in nature, with very warm summers and mild winters. The midlands, along the dividing range are temperate, with cool winters and mild summers.

Population: 2,400,000 (2050 Census).
Population Density: 35.81/km²
Ethnicities: European 91%, Asian (incl South Asian) 4.5%, Indigenous 3%.
Religions: Unitarianism 38%, Christianity 26%, Buddhism 3%, Islam 1.5%, Hinduism 1%, No Religion 20%.
Major Centres: Armidale, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Uralla, Guyra, Inverell, Glen Innes, and Grafton
The Economy
Economic System: A partially deregulated, fully capitalist system. The government continues to regulate core services, particularly infrastructure. In some areas the government competes directly against private enterprise through publicly owned Crown Corporations.
