The 1st Brigade is a major formation of the New England Army that is composed of regular infantry, cavalry and support units. Based out of the North Shore Barracks in Port Macquarie, the brigade is currently assigned to the Eastern Division and is responsible for the defence of the South Coast of New England and adjacent hinterlands.
The current commander of the brigade is Brigadier Sydney Williams.
History
1 Brigade was first raised in July 2023 in line with the wholesale reorganisation of the New England Army.
