Territorial Militia
The Territorial Militia or TM is the name for the various reserve units of the New England Army. The militia is made up of part-time soldiers, who are required to spend a certain amount of time per month engaged in military service. There are currently xx,xxx personal serving in the TM, which forms a xxxxx of the total strength of the New England Army. The current commander of the militia is Matthew Bosworth.
The militia has a long history, with some units able to trance their ancestry back to the late nineteenth century. However, most units were formed during or after the Civil War.
Current Units
The TM forces are divided into three brigades, each of which is under the command of a particular division.

- Northern Rivers Lancers
- 1st Battalion, Royal Fitzroyshire Rifles
- 8th Brigade (Metropolitan Division)
- Armidale Light Horse
- 10th Brigade (Western Division)
- Gwydir Light Horse
