Army Establishments
The New England army maintains a series of establishments right cross the country. Each of these facilities has a specific role and function, from the Land Command headquarters in Puddledock, right down to the smallest of militia depots located in the towns. The size and scope of the establishments varies from base to base, with some covering hundreds of acres down to those consisting of only a few buildings. All defence establishments are governed by the Defence Act 2012, which prohibits unauthorised persons from venturing on to a base without permission.
Regular
The army maintains a variety of barracks and camps for administrative, operational and training purposes. In terms of size (both geographical and personnel), the largest facilities are the Land Command Headquarters in Puddledock and the divisional headquarters located at Armidale, Bundarra and Raleigh. There are also brigade headquarters located at various centres around the country. The army also maintains smaller camps for training and emergencies, which are only manned by skeleton crews. The army's special forces units also maintained their own facilities, which are situated at locations most convenient to their respective missions.
Military Square - The location of the Land Command HQ, along with the Ministry of Defence and the Joint Defence HQ. Opened by King Michael in 202x, the square has a purely administrative role, with no operational units assigned there.
Bundarra Barracks -
Martin Street Barracks - Headquarters to the Metropolitan Division, the Royal the Royal New England Regiment . The barracks is essentially administrative, but does contain operational elements from time to time.
Raleigh Barracks -
Saumarez Barracks - Home to the Royal Household Guard, the City of Armidale Regiment and the Royal Horse Battery, the Saumarez Barracks was established in 2034 along Kings Parade between Saumarez House and the National War Museum.
Territorial Militia
Unlike the regular army, the territorial militia maintains most of its depots in larger urban centres. On the whole, these facilities are smaller and consist of only a few buildings with no accommodation provided. In an effort to reduce costs, many militia units opt to share thier depots with other units within their brigade. The militia operates no training facilities of its own, instead opting to use the larger training camps scattered across the country.
