The 2012 Consititutional Convention was the first convention held in New England. Held in the months after the ratification of the Treaty of Wellington, the convention was charged with the drafting of the consitution and the setting the basic structures of the new nation.

Over the course of a month, the convention deliberated a number of resolutions on the structure of New England from the form of government, to the official langauge, before all resolutions that were approved were put into a draft constitution on the last days of the convention.
