The Honourable Sir Alexander Richard Fendalton KM CNE EC (born 23 October 1976) was a prominent politician in the early years of New England's post independent existance. The founder of the Social Democrats, Fendalton served as Minister of the Treasury in three governments and was Leader of the Oppostion from March 2024 until July 2025.
For a twnety year period, from 2012 until his retirement in 2032, Fendalton was a dominating figure in New England politics. Indeed, Fendalton is the only person to serve as both Leader of the Third Party and Leader of the Oppostion. His record as finance minister was mixed, with substantial economic growth coming at a great personal cost to many people.
