Crown Estates
The Crown Estates are a property portfolio associated with the monarch and contain some of the homes of the royal household, which are used at various times throughout the year. Depending on the time of year, and the working demands on individual members, the family resides in homes located in Armidale, Illuka and Jeogla. Mnay of these homes serve as private residences, workiong offices and ceremonial halls all in one, and are therefore both public and private places with public access granted at certain times of the year. Whereas others, are purely private, and aree closed to the public.
The largest collection of royal residences is on the Saumarez Estate in the western suburbs of Armidale. There are four residences located on . Another large estate is at Jeogla, where three seperate homes are dotted over the station. In summer, the King and Princess Consort reside at Clarence House, expect when official business calls them back to the capital.
In winter, the family spend the majority of their time at Saumarez Palace. On special occasions, and at various times throughout the year, the family reside at Jeogla Station, a working sheep property which is the King's private residence run by the Duchy of Chandler. The Duke of Duval and his family lives at Longford Station, which the residence of the heir to the throne.

Administration
Management of the Crown Estates is the responisbility of the Crown Estates Commission or CEC. The estate is seperate from, and not part of the Duchies of Chandler and Duval, which are seperate businesses that provide income to the monarch and heir.
The CEC is run by a board of six commissioners, headed by a chairman, with day-to-day running of the body carried out by a director-general. The current board is made up of the following members:

Saumarez Estate
The Saumarez Estate is the largest and most important of the various Crown Estates in New England. Covering five hundred acres, the estate contains Saumarez House, the offical residence of the monarch, as well as a number of smaller homes leased to other members of the royal household. The estate is part of the Crown Estate, and is managed by the Crown Estates Commission.
Saumarez House - The principal residence of the King of New England, Saumarez House is situated ten kilometres south-east of the City of Armidale. The house once served as the principal homestead of the grazing property Saumarez and was built between 1888 and 1906. Today, it is the residence of the King and Princess Consort, who spend about half of the year and are present during the working week to be close to the Government of the Kingdom.
Orchard House - A small home on the Saumarez estate, Orchard House is the principal residence of Princess Kate and her family. The house was built in 2036 and was originally the home of Sophie McAllister, finace to King James I. After his death the house was offered to McAllister as a grace and favour residence, which she declined, preferring to leave the public spotlight to grieve for the late King.
Dumaresq House - Home of the Dowager Duchess of Chandler, Dumaresq House was built in the victorian style between 20xx and 20xx.
White Cottage - The smallest home on the estate, White is the home of Prince Richard and his wife Lady Elsa William-Wechsler.
Other Residences
Clarence House - Located on the banks of the Clarence River just outside the coastal town of Iluka, Clarence House is a specially designed residence that was built by King Michael in 2030. Clarence House is the summer residence of the royal family, with the family spending December through to February at the House. The King's New Year Message is also broadcast from here and it is where most, if not all, members of the Royal family will spend some of their summer months.
King's Block - The principal working office of the King and other members of the royal household, King's Block is so named as the part of Smith House that contains the offices of the monarch and his staff. While it is primarlily a working office building, there are apartments and entertainment areas locted in the complex. During most weeks, the King works from the block, especially when parliament is sitting.
