His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Duval (Michael Edgar Alexander Simon Williams), is the first and only child of Crown Prince Alexander and Prince Simon. Prince Michael was born in Invergowrie Suburban Hospital, Armidale on 6 February 2052.
The prince is currently second in line to throne of New England, after his father. If Prince Michael becomes king as expected, he will be most likely known as King Michael II.
Birth
Prince Michael was carried to term by Miss Tess Lewis, a surrogate mother who in this case is a close friend of the Duke of Duval and Prince Simon. The prince born with no complications at 5:57 on the morning of the 6th February 2052. At birth, he weighed 7.6lbs and was 49cms long. At noon on the day of his birth, 21-gun salutes were fired to mark the event.
A strong legal contract defines Miss Lewis's position in the household of the Duke and Prince Simon. At present Ms Lewis lives at Longford Station and manages the day-to-day needs of Prince Michael. Should she leave the household, she has no custody rights, but would be entitled to visitation.
Christening
Prince Michael was christened by the Dean of Saumarez, Arthur Jones on 25 February 2052. His godparents are Princess Kate and Lord Dawkins. His various forenames were chosen for the following reasons:
- Michael is after his great-grandfather, King Michael, who was New England's first monarch.
- Edgar is after his grandfather, who before becoming King, was known as Prince Edgar of Duval.
- Alexander is the name of his first father.
- Simon is the princes other father.
By way of an Order-in-Council, the prince was formally added to the line of succession by the King on the 5 March 2052.
