Childhood & Schooling
Crown Prince Alexander was born in the infirmary of Saumarez House on the 15th June, 2025. By all accounts, the prince was over two weeks premature, and his arrival was an unexpected shock. Despite the suddeness of his arrival, both mother and baby were given a clean bill of health after the delivery. The prince was christened in Saumarez Chapel by the Dean of Saumarez on the 13 July 2025. His godparents were Sir Jonathon and Lady Braddock.
The Duke received private tutoring at Saumarez House during first form in the years 2031-2033. He then attended The Armidale School for the remainder of his schooling. For six months during 2042, the Prince was an exchange student to Wellington College, Berkshire in the United Kingdom.
After completing his ACE in 2043, he was accepted to the University of Auckland and undertook a degree in Social Science, which he graduated with Honours in 2047. The following year, the Duke was accepted to study a PhD at the New England National University. The Duke is continuing his studies on a part-time basis, and is expected to publish his PhD in 2055.
Career
The Duke decided against service in the military after he completed his undergraduate degree and instead embarked on a humanitarian vocation working in social development and refugee relief. From 2048-2050 he was the social development and humanitarian relief attached to the New England High Commission in Wellington, New Zealand. During this time he worked with to assist the clothing and feeding the hundreds of thousands of displaced persons made homeless by the conflicts throughout the region.
In 2050, The Duke returned to New England and assumed his position as a member of the Executive Council of the Kingdom. At the same time, Alexander began his own organisation, the Duval Trust, to feed and clothe displaced persons entering the Kingdom and seeking asylum. Over this period, the Duke has received first hand knowledge in running a large organisation and participated in essential humanitarian projects.
Marriage and Children
On 23 November 2049, the Duke announced his engagement to Mr Simon Chamberlain, whom Alexander has described as "my closest friend and best mate". The two met at the University of Auckland in their first year of study, and quickly became friends and not long after developed a close companionship.
On 3 September 2050, The Duke of Duval and Mr. Simon Chamberlain were married in the National Cathedral, Armidale. The service was conducted by the Most Rev. Michael Thomas, Unitarian Bishop of Armidale. Upon their marriage, Mr. Chamberlain became HH Prince Simon of Duval. Festivities for the wedding were held in Saumarez Palace. The couple spent their honeymoon in Germany and France.
To date, the Crown Prince and Prince Simon have one child. HRH Prince Michael of Duval was born in Armidale on 6 February 2052. He was christened by the Dean of Saumarez, Arthur Jones on 1 March 2052. He is currently four months old.
