Brown v Kelso was a decision of the Supreme Court of New England which upheld the forced institutionalisation provisions of the Drug Penalties Act of 2032.
Under the act, drug addicts could be detained and forcibly detoxified by ministerial order. The plaintiff, Israel Brown, was forcibly treated for a crystal methamphetamine addiction by the Ministry of Health in 2032 and believed that his detention and forced treatment was a denial of liberty under Article I of the constitution.
