The Ministry of Health is the cabinet portfolio responsible for the provision of health services, food safety and other similar community services. The ministry is responsible for the provision of health care to all New Englanders though the hospital system. The ministry also provides health related information and education to facilitate a preventative illness policy through sound living practices.
In addition to it's core health services, the ministry provides food safety regulation, services for the socially disadvantaged, and also funds a variety of community sporting and recreation facilities as part of it's wider ambit to foster preventive illness strategies amongst members of the general population.
