Minister of State for Defence

The Minister of State for Defence is the senior member of the cabinet in charge of the Ministry of Defence. The ministry is considered one of the great offices of state, and ranks third on the cabinet after the First Minister and the Minister of State for the Treasury.

The chiefs of the various arms of the defence force report to the minister, namely Chief of Army, Chief of Air Force and Chief of Navy. The current minister is Lt. General Colin Perrott, who was appointed after the 2052 election.
