The City of Inverell is the largest city and county town of the county of Macintyre. As of 2050, Inverell had a population of 105,657 making the eighth largest city in New England.
Known as the "Jewel of West", Inverell is the centre for commerce, culture and politics for all of western New England. In the heart of the wheat belt and a major source gemstones, the cities fortunes have been have been built on agriculture and mining. The moto of the city is Semper Fidelis.
Area
The city covers a decent sized area in the Macintyre river valley and surrounding hills. The city is located in the south of the county, and is defined as stretching from Oakwood and Nullamanna in the north, Long Plain in the east, Gilgai in the south and Rob Roy in the west.
