The Royal Agricultural & Grazing Society is an industry society established in Armidale in 2014 to promote the scientific development of agriculture and the showcasing of agricultural produce. It is the largest society in the country with over 18,500 members. The society has had a significant cultural impact on the nation as a link to the agrarian roots of New England. The society received its Royal Charter from King Michael in 2017.
The Society furfils it's chartered role every year by holding the Royal National Exhibition in Armidale. The RNE is the showcase of New England's agricultural produce and expertise, as well as an oppurtunity for the urban population of New England to sample rural life and culture.
