The National Football Carnival is a biennial Australian Football representative competition played by New England's four regional leagues. The competition is considered to be the premier domestic event, and selected is considered to be one of the highest accolades that a player can achieve. The competition began in 2038, and has been played every two years, with the most recent competition being played in October 2050. The defending champions is the South East Football League who defeated the Metropolitan Football League to become the Champion League of New England.

Format

The Carnival is simple round-robin playoff, which each of the teams playing against each other once over two weekends. The two teams with the most wins, or best percentage, play off for the title of Champion in a final played on the third weekend.
