Seb Owen (born Sebastian John Owen, 26 April 2025) is a well known rock and punk singer/songwriter. Owen was born and raised in Armidale and made his start in music in the early 2040's. Since 2046, Owen has performed as a solo artist, but he has also written songs for other well known groups, such as Hat Head and Glory By Day.

Background

Sebastian Owen was born in Armidale, the youngest of three children. His parents were both amateur musicians, and so from an early age Seb was surrounded by musical influences. His uncle John had been a prominent members of the National Philharmonic Orchestra since 2023.

When still in state school, Owen invested in a guitar and began to learn how to play it. By the age of eleven, Owen was writing basic musical scores and performing them for his family. With encouragement from his family, Owen studied music in Grammar School. He received his ACE in 2043 and after a year in the Army, he formed a band with his brother Nick and their friend Harry McDonald. The band took the name 'Gostoppers' but did not enjoy commercial success.

In early 2046 the Gostoppers broke up, and Owen began to concentrate on songwriting. Later in the year, he was convinced by his family to record his own album, which was released as Out of the Dark in November 2046. With three top fifty hits, the album was an immediate success for Owen. The following year, Owen colluded with Glory By Day on their album Huzzah! The collaboration proved to be a success for both parties, with Huzzah! going to #1 in the album charts.

In 2049, Owen released his second album Nobody's Idiot, which again went to #1, and had two hit singles as well. The most recent album, Yellowcake, was released in 2051. In 2050, Owen married Jessica Harris, a backing singer he met when recording Out of the Dark. They currently have one child, Rhys, who was born in 2051.
